Privacy
Privacy
The Diamond Edit collects no personal data, runs no advertising, sets no third-party tracking cookies, and does not use Google Analytics, GTM, or the Meta Pixel.
Analytics
Page views are counted with a privacy-respecting analytics service (Plausible). No cookies are set, no IP addresses are stored, and no cross-site identifier is created. The aggregate page-view count is used to decide which columns are worth the effort.
Emails sent to the column are read by the editor and retained only while a thread is active. We do not subscribe correspondents to any list, and there is no newsletter that requires sign-up.
RSS
RSS subscribers are anonymous to us — feed readers fetch the feed without identifying themselves. Use /rss.xml at any reader of your choice.
POPIA
The Diamond Edit is published from South Africa and operates under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). The column is not a "responsible party" for purposes of POPIA except to the minimal extent required to read and reply to email correspondence; rights of access, correction, and deletion are honoured on request to legal@diamondedit.co.za.
